The Gateway monitor that came with the system recently died. It turns on, makes some choking noises, and finally gives out. It would probably be cheaper just to buy a new monitor, so would a different brand of monitor work with the Gateway system?

Some people prefer Dells desktops and Gateways laptops. I tried out a Apple desktop before and it didnt a lot of sense like working with Windows computers.

I’ve tried system restore, my computer only allows me to go back as far as January 11, but I believe the problem occurred before then. I tried restarting my computer, pressing F11, and following the prompts to insert my restore disc; that didn’t seem to work properly either. Please help.
