the repair option doesn’t show up when i insert the disc.

i put the disc in the imac and the disk icon popped up on my desktop i opened it up but there is no option that will tell me how to save the disk on my imac i want to the pictures to go to iphoto

The disc is not appearing in the Desktop, nor in the Finder. I’ve tried shutting down and turning it back on. When I do that, in the beginning, I hear the disc turning, like it’s trying to eject, but then it stops, and it’s nowhere to be found.
I try and connect new hardware to my computer via a usb cable such as a mobile phone or a printer and it always occurs an error even though i have the instalation disc inserted in the computer. My printer use to work fine then all of a sudden the computer no longer recogniesd...

I have an elderly Apple Performa 520 along with an old Wallstreet laptop. Both use floppy discs and both seem to save the desktop files as well as the file I am working on.
