Some, such a SD cards, usually have to be pushed in a little, to release them, then pull it out. Obviously, you need to make sure there is no activity when you pull it out. If it is being read or written to when you pull it out, it will ‘freak out’. What do you think? Answer below!

Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) December 20, 2011

Online holiday spending since Thanksgiving 2011 has broken previous years records, fueled mostly by stronger Black Friday deals, Cyber Monday and the extension of Cyber Monday into the newly branded Cyber Week, according to online retail spending reports. Americans are now able to spend money via mobile device (smart phones and tablets), PC, and brick and mortar locations, making it easier to spend money in general, with one caveat. A valid credit or debit card is required in order to purchase products and services online when using any of the vast assortment of mobile devices now available, or a personal computer. The debt settlement attorneys of Weisberg & Meyers LLC, Attorneys for Consumers, advise consumers already carrying a heavy load of credit card debt to be vigilant of spending, as the holidays can create an even greater debt burden that will need to be addressed when the bills begin to arrive in 2012.

According to financial industry research, an economically challenged 2011 has put the pressure on retailers to end the year with a bang. This means consumers are reaping the benefits through lower prices and added discount incentives and bonuses such as free shipping for online purchases. This encourages greater spending and since a large percentage of the sales go directly onto a credit card, its easy to lose track of how much has been spent to date. The purchases can accumulate in number before shipping and delivery occur and without keeping close watch the total spent on gifts, the numbers and dollars can easily get lost in the holiday shuffle.

Why do many consumers procrastinate and then make a New Year?s resolution to find a way to handle credit card debt only after increasing total monthly obligations through excessive holiday spending? Weisberg & Meyers, LLC, Attorneys for Consumers, is a consumer law firm offering a suite of debt help services including debt settlement, Fair Debt Collection Practice Act violations, credit reporting errors, consumer fraud, Truth in Lending and Fair Credit Billing Act violations. Years of practice and observation of consumer behavior during the holiday season have provided Marshall Meyers, managing attorney of the firm with a wealth of insight. ?Caught up in the holiday gift buying frenzy, consumers are blindsided by the credit card bills that come in after January 1 each year,? Meyers claims. ?The best advice is to assess credit card debt before the holiday spending begins and put a plan in place to curb spending and closely monitor each gift purchase, and if a credit card debt issue already exists, do not continue to add to that without having the funds available to cover the purchase,? he adds.

Debt settlement could be a viable option for settling credit card debt that has spiraled out of control and according to attorney Meyers the time to think about a debt settlement plan is before going overboard for holiday gift spending that involves credit card use. Weisberg & Meyers, LLC, Attorneys for Consumers, provides review and analysis of a potential new client?s financial situation, the feasibility of debt negotiation with creditors and debt collectors on a client?s behalf is assessed and a debt settlement plan, structured to reduce monthly payments and overall debt, may be recommended.

OpenDNS, the world’s largest and fastest-growing provider of Internet security and DNS services that deliver a safer, faster and more intelligent Internet experience to everyone, today announced new findings from PhishTank, the community website where anyone can submit, verify, track and share phishing data, that indicate cyber criminals have taken advantage of increased travel and spending volume during December by sharpening their focus on spoofing airlines and financial services.

Among the most spoofed brands in December were PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Santander and other financial services organizations. Targeting these companies is a shrewd move by cyber criminals as credit card spending increased 7 percent in December according to First Data, an organization that tracks consumer spending.

A target gaining popularity with phishers is Latin America?s largest Airline, TAM, and its rewards program TAM Fidelidade. The airline, which served more than 34.5 million passengers in 2010 and continues to show year over year growth, was the target of more than 400 verified phishing sites in December. Cyber criminals target rapidly growing brands such as TAM Airlines since there is a high probability that email recipients will have previously engaged with or purchased from the organization?s legitimate site and be more likely to click on links embedded in phishing emails when a prior relationship exists.

Gaming also continues to be a top target for Internet bad guys as two notable companies responsible for popular social gaming sites made the list of December?s top ten most targeted organizations. Sulake Corporation, the parent company of the tremendously popular social entertainment site Habbo.com, was December?s second most targeted brand while World of Warcraft also made the list as December?s tenth most spoofed brand.

The PhishTank community, made up of hundreds of thousands of volunteers and skilled moderators who are devoted to fundamentally improving Internet security, is able to quickly and accurately vote and verify phishes. On average, phishes submitted to PhishTank are verified and blocked in only a few hours. The PhishTank community also has a high level of accuracy in identifying likely phishes and submitting them for verification. The community and its expert moderators only deemed 5.9 percent of phishes submitted in December as invalid.

Since PhishTank was founded in 2006, the PhishTank community has successfully verified more than three quarters of a million phishes. PhishTank data ensures the safety of more than 30 million OpenDNS users, who are automatically prevented from reaching phishing sites. In addition, PhishTank protects the collective millions of customers of some of the world’s largest technology companies, many of which use the site’s data to incorporate anti-phishing functionality into their services. More information, statistics and graphics related to December PhishTank findings can be found here: http://www.phishtank.com/stats/2011/12/

About OpenDNS

OpenDNS is the world’s leading provider of Internet security and DNS services, enabling the world to connect to the Internet with confidence on any device, anywhere, any time. OpenDNS provides millions of businesses, schools and households with a safer, faster and more intelligent Internet experience by protecting them from malicious Web threats and providing them control over how users navigate the Internet, while dramatically increasing the network’s overall performance and reliability. For more information about OpenDNS, please visit: http://www.opendns.com.

About PhishTank

PhishTank is operated by OpenDNS and is the first and only effort of its kind. Launched in October 2006 to coincide with National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the site employs a sophisticated voting system that requires the community to vote “phish” or “not phish,” reducing the possibility of false positives and improving the overall breadth and coverage of the phishing data. PhishTank makes all phishing data it accumulates public and available via programmable APIs, which allow other software developers to incorporate the anti-phishing data into their tools. The open access is intended to encourage the sharing of information and increase the chance of eliminating phishing all together.
Question by Davestar: does it matter what graphics card you get? I know when you switch Processors you have to stick with the make (with AMD or Intel at least) but is this the same with graphic cards or any other part of the computer? Also does something like RAM, graphic card or a new processors take installation after being physically installed or do they just work fine in the old ones place? Best answer: Answer by Jeff BridgesThe only thing which really matters (for most non hard core gamers) is sticking with the right socket (ie the hole) in which the graphics card inserts. As of 2006 most PC graphic interfaces are via PCI-E, pre 2006 were generally AGP X8. What do you think? Answer below!
