you could check out typing in a net adress on the device bar simply because some of the internet browsers dont have a homepage predefined with some linux operating systems but im guessing you are making use of ubuntu which utilised to do this to me alot .
Give your remedy to this query beneath!

Purchase Microsoft Windows. You pay for open source Linux with your time and lots of grief.
Have you got the Acer One running Linux Lite?
I had no problem connecting to the net, just check you are connecting to the right network (your own) and that you have the right code for your router.
Tara, I hope you’re enjoying the new laptop, you might try putting this question on the users forum for the laptop as they (the linux community) are very helpful.
I’m slightly confused by “iv input the i.p address as the dpch (or whatever its called) ” – dhcp sends an address to the pc which it can then use. If you assign a different address then it won’t work.
What browser are you using?
How do you know / what do you mean by “the internet is connecting fine”?
feel free to pm me.
