I have cable internet at home, and I just bought a laptop.
What is the easiest way to use my home internet through laptop??

There is 2 ways you can connect to the internet one is by using the cable (cat 5 cable ) or by using a wileless router and the laptop will recognize the wireless connection . hope this helps

first you need to determine the brand and model of internet card or LAN card installed in your laptop and have an appropriate driver to it. After that you can connect your cable to the LAN card slot in your laptop.
I’m assuming you currently have a computer already setup to the high speed internet. If your looking to just use the internet for the time being take the cable running from the cable modem that runs to the existing computer and plug it into the port on the laptop that looks a little bigger then a phone line.
All new laptops come with wireless adapters and drivers already installed. I would highly recommend getting a router, this device will allow multiple computers on the internet and you’ll be able to surf 150-300 feet away from the wireless access point the router. These devices can purchased at any retail store.
