If it doesn’t say “refurbished” then it is simply “used” or “second-hand”, and I advise you give it a miss unless either (i) it is very very cheap so you can rebuild it, or (ii) you’re able to repair it yourself if it needs it.

There is nothing in a laptop that can be “refurbished” I suspect they wipe it with a damp cloth. If they fitted anything new they would mention it and if they used bits from several pre-owned ones that’s not refurbished that’s cannibalised. Buyer beware. Ask the company what it means.
