I not too long ago watched the Notebook and used my best to cover the tears…. What films have you noticed (ideally Cinema Nouveau) that have had an impact on you?!

My mom wouldn’t let me watch Lassie as a child. It was good for a twenty minute cry. I can watch a movie and if a dog or horse is harmed I’m a wreck. 10,000 men, women and children can be slaughtered, decapitated (I take back the children part, weak there too), no issues.

Old Yeller. Brutal, an exercise in sadism to watch it twice.

Pearl Harbor was sad. (Saw someone else mentioned it).

My favorite movie ever-The Outsiders- is totally sad. I love that movie and since it is my favorite and a sad movie I am going to vote it as the saddest movie I have ever seen.

Hmmm…The movie I just watched (Girl) had some really sad parts. (It has Tara Reid, Summer Pheonix, etc. in it)

It makes me cry but it is called Star dust(2007 film) and the Saddest Music in the World(2003 film) and Titanic(1997 film)
that’s what I call sad Movies.
    so sad.
saddest was Titanic. the man drowned in the water. the women just stood there sitting on something in the river looking sad.

Old Yeller and The Yearling where they raise a fawn and have to kill it because it was eating their garden when it grew up. That was during the depression.

Notebook is one of my favorite movies. It made me cry too, I couldn’t even hide my tears…I recently watched (P.s. I Love you) and it made me cry as well. It’s a beautiful romance/comedy/sad type of movie that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. It’s an awesome movie!

I always watch the notebook when i need a good cry.

City of Angels always makes me cry too. The most recent film i’ve seen that made me cry (in fact had me totally sobbing!!) was The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
