Integrate the Common Core Standards with New Tool

As the majority of public schools in the country begin to map their curriculum to the new Common Core State Standards, PD developer School Improvement Network (SINET) has created a tool that will help educators make quick and powerful use of those Standards. The Learning Progression Tool is a groundbreaking function that has been added to SINET?s Common Core solution suite, Common Core 360.

?The Common Core Standards are well designed,? says Cory Linton, vice president of SINET, ? but by their nature can be cumbersome and difficult to navigate. We?ve talked to many educators who feel like they could make better use of the Standards if they were just more accessible. The Learning Progression Tool is a direct response to that need.?

The Learning Progression Tool provides an intuitive way to browse the Standards for lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and remedial/special education planning. Within the Tool, the Standards are placed on a digital card deck, where each individual Standard is given its own card. The deck is arranged by grade and subject, and is easily navigable with the click of a mouse.
