Question by umarghazi: questions about partitioning external hard drives?
I have 720 gig external hard drive, is it possible to partition it so I can install operating systems onto it? If so, what program is best for partition and formatting it? If I install Mac on the external one, and Windows on the internal one, can I still use both? 1 more thing: if I have both operating systems installed and I am using the one on the internal hard drive, is it okay to turn the external one off?
a lot of questions i know lol,
thanks!

Partition Magic is an easy to use and good partitioning program. As far as operating systems, you can only boot up to one, and that is all you can use at any given time. It’s not like you can boot from one then go to the other drive once that one is booted and use another operating system. If you have two operating systems installed then you make a choice at boot up as to which you want to boot from.
