Question by quangphangbang: Is it possible to extend my desktop to more than 2 monitors with another video card?
I have an Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT video card but i want to extend my desktop to more than 2 monitors. Can I do this with a second video card?

Yes you can. This is found alot in business and sometimes personal use. You will have to go to graphic properties to set it up correctly, if you want it to mirror or extend your desktop.

I am not sure if this will work with SLI or crossfire video cards. As I often seen them when connected to PCI video cards instead of pci express x16 video cards that SLI and crossfire is used on.

    No, SLi doesn’t work with dual monitors. (nVidia)

    ATi cards running in crossfire can run more than one monitor.. But in SLi when you want to run 2 or more monitors, you have to disable one of them.

    it looks like your graphics card can support 2 monitors, if you hook 1 up with DVI and one up with VGA

    adding a graphics card wont work since only one graphics card can be used at a time.

    if im wrong about yoru graphics card just look for one that has multiple outputs on it like 2 dvi or 2 vga ports
