I am thinking about getting one of those car radios that has a monitor that flips out. Can they play a video on mute while I am listening to music? Can I adjust the volume levels of each? I am not looking to spend a whole lot – no more than around $200. Can anybody reccommend some good ones?

Kenwood makes a kick but a/v unit. The feature your looking for is called dual zone. They are one of the few that can do this, I think alpine has a new double din radio that came out this year that can do, IVAW505. I prefer the Kenwoods they sound better and have better features. You could put a movie in it, hook up a screen to the rear and let people in the back watch that, while watching a movie from your video ipod and listening to satellite radio. Any thing is possible. You want to look at any “7″ or “8″ series units. How ever my friend at $200.00 you will be luck to get a new radio that has aux input so you can hook up a dvd player. Kenwoods a/v units with dual zone start around $900.00. You need to look on eBay or craigslist or the want ads and hope you get very very lucky. If that’s what you want and you dont have much cash go to a good stereo shop in your area and start a layaway.
