Question by stardust: I’ve try the norton removal tool to remove it but my windows firewall is still off when i turn the laptop on.?
Not sure what to do now, i’ve try the N.R.T. to get rid of norton like andy w. sugested but my windows firewall is still off when turning the laptop on, should i get a new firewall or what? the anti-virus i got is kaspersky & not confident enought to unistall the kaspersky & install it again so what should i do, just do it manually every time i turn the laptop on?

im having EXACTLY the same problem.
it soo annoying, atm im just clicking cancel everytime it comes up.
may be eventually it will go away.. its what im hoping lol

Either get firewall protection or get off the net. Sorry, but your pc’s not yours if you’re connected to the net without a firewall.
If you’ve got Kaspersky AV only (not KIS) you need a firewall. Try Online Armor or Comodo. You might find OA easier to use.

When you turn on the Windows version of your Firewall it should stay on unless you turn it off.
Use RevoUninstaller to remove remnants of Norton:

It’s faster and better than add / remove applet.
When you run it highlight the item then select uninstall in next window select Advanced and click Next, follow prompts when uninstalled it will scan registry and drive for leftover files / folders,click + sign to expand all results and tick ONLY the bold items and follow prompts.
If Kaspersky is just the antivirus then I suggest that you download and install Online Armor Free Firewall:

Go To Start /control panel /security settings/and turn on windows firewall your kaspersky might have a built in firewall which is running in the back ground
heres how to get rid of any annoying programme……………….
1st search the programme and delete it
2nd search “regedit” open it
3rd goto edit-find type” name”
4th delete all values of programme.
restart computer
and search again if its all gone defrag if not delete the bits thats left
