check out resetting the modem, by turning off energy, waiting a minute, then turning it back again on. attempt heading to network and sharing, make positive that the adapter says its connected, and if you want to, click on repair.
make sure the firewall isnt blocking any connections inbound or outbound either

“network cable is unplugged”
This is a very easy issue to fix, because it can only be one of a few things. Its a physical issue, has nothing to do with drivers, or firewalls, etc. Your computer is telling you the network cable is not plugged in, so it can only be:
A) The network cable really isn’t plugged in. Plug it in.
B) The network cable is bad. Use a new cable.
C) The router is bad. Probably not though since you said you tried new ones.
D) Your network card is bad. Get a new one.
