i have a x box wireless adapter and my mate is letting me use his world wide web connection but the adapter are not able to get his net signal

How significantly absent are you? Wireless network signals have really restricted variety, if you cannot decide on up the signal you possibly just need to move closer. Or purchase a wireless repeater which can amplify the signal for you.
