Facebook is good for purely social purposes, as a lot of people use it. It’s also good for easily sharing photos with friends.

If you’re looking for job networking, try LinkedIn.

I heard eharmony is the best and trustworthy site. they really research your background and another person’s background to try to find you a compatible suitor or friend. they give you a thorough questionnaire and then they match you with the correct match. I heard they get to meet and some even get to get married. I have never done this, i only played one day with it and made up a fake person , and guess what? she got to have SO many great matches…I did it just for fun and for curiosity.

I would say that this all depends on which site it is that your friends are using. I use Windows Live Spaces, but all my friends use Windows Live Spaces so it works for me, that however, doesnt mean to say that it would work for you.

Most of these things are free to sign up for so there is no harm in making one or two different ones

    I say MySpace: or Facebook:

    Top social-networking sites
MySpace: Largest social-networking site with 49 million visitors in August. It was bought in July by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. for $ 580 million.
YouTube: A video-heavy networking site that is No. 2 with 34 million viewers. Google announced a deal to buy YouTube last week for $ 1.65 billion.
Facebook: A site restricted to high schoolers and college kids with e-mail addresses ending in ‘edu’ until two weeks ago. Yahoo! is said to be interested in buying it. It is valued at $ 1 billion.
Classmates.com: A site for reconnecting with high school friends.
LiveJournal: A popular Web site for bloggers.
Multiply: A Boca Raton-based social-networking site founded by a former executive from Sportsline.com. It is aimed at twentysomethings and thirtysomethings.
Friendster: The original social-networking site, founded in 2002. It’s now trying to reinvent itself with $ 13 million in cash from SiliconValley venture capitalists and targets the same crowd as Multiply.
Good night to you princess and I hope this will help you out!! Good luck xoxo

not this one ha ha ha
the fraud squad are advising to protect yourself from identity theft when on facebook and such, do not give your birthdate or place of work or school, apparently that is enough for someone to steal your i.d and apply for bank loans and get them, in your name!
